'Dead Lazers'

Kap Bambino is an electronic musical duo from Bordeaux, France. The group is known for Caroline Martial's wild vocals and Orion Bouvier' electronic metal mixes. The group is also known for their excited live performances, thus them being a part of the festivals ZXZW, Dot to Dot[1] and playing shows with Felix Kubin, DAT Politics, These New Puritans, Late of the Pier and Patric Catani. In 2001, Martial formed the group's own independent label, "wwilko". They have been featured in NME, Another Magazine, Dummy Mag and Dazed and Confused. Additionally, the group was featured in Matt Irwin's 2007 film for Armani Exchange. Caroline was listed among the "hottest young models .. in London and New York." The group has independently toured all over Europe, Japan and Mexico. In 2009, they were a part of SXSW, and their single "Dead Lazers" made BIGSTEREO's May 2009 charts for top downloads, placed number 8.
The two have separate side projects outside of Kap Bambino, Bouvier is "Groupgris", and Martial is "Khima France". Love her too.

DECADENCE

Italians do it better! Maybe it was not the motto that Italian photographer Alberto Rugolotto had in his mind when he came up with this wonderful editorial featuring model Sasha Marini. But for sure he got to describe a reality that only Steven Klein was able to do in such a high level. Perfect!
“DECADENCE” is the tittle of the work, not at all decadent is the result. With the collaboration of three stylists, Manuel Menini, Nino Corito and Simona Sanfedele, Albeto deserve our greatest admiration.

It's X-mass eve today, and my mood for work channeled to my partying nights. Holy mother, my fingers came up with this sketch and i think it means something, no? Will update with the prototype once it's done. Finger crossed the next post. Hang on to your panties.  :P

Brittany dead at 32?

 From TMZ:

Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cardiac arrest 32 years old?? Oo ma gawd! she was so young.
I hope it's not a case of drug overdose.

We'll miss you Brittany Murphy.

Julien Macdonald 09 - 2010

Twist of taste.

The fact that big-shouldered, bling-festooned dressing is now being shamelessly enjoyed by Christophe Decarnin at Balmain (and his many fans) doesn't make Macdonald an imitator—he was already there ten or so years ago. Add to that the fact that inventive, slightly punky laddered knitwear is on the fashion roster again and you have two strikes in favor of this Welsh national celebrity: He, after all, was the talented knitter who made that look fashionable in the early nineties.

S2010-Macdonald was smart to limit his palette to red, black, beige, and white, and to pare his statement back to cutting and piecing jersey, and splicing in sheer inserts. True, there are others working around the same sort of ideas this season (lace-sided leggings are everywhere, for instance), but Macdonald, with his experience in Parisian haute couture, has a head start on them. By holding back his urge to complicate and decorate, he showed the best of himself—though he did indulge in one silver-pailletted mermaid dress for old times' sake. Allowed to shine on its own, it looked all the more special. That's an experience Julien Macdonald can take away and be proud of.
